Same Sketch and Stamps, Two Cards ( Winner Announcement)

Hello friends!
How was your Christmas?
I had my fair share of entertaining and now I am happy to back making cards!
Today's cards are based on a sketch.

Sketches are my weakest link.
A while a go, I was invited to submit sketch cards for a well-known publication.

I didn't make it to the publication as my cards were
 too blah...
colors don't pop..

So, I am shamelessly sharing them here.
Haha, you are lucky to see the "rejects"!

#3 Muah!

I must say that my ego was slightly bruised after these two. LOL.

#1 I Puffy love you

I still think these two aren't that bad, but for publication purpose, they do not stand out.
That's something to keep in mind when making submissions for publication.
Oh well, I am happy to do what I create for my blog.
I love it when I don't to worry about meeting the criteria.
It is very freeing to share my creations here whether they are awesome or... just so-so.
LIFE is pretty much like that, right? It is a bit of a roller coaster ride itself.

All I can say is, "those people who rejected these, weren't looking at what I'm looking at". Apparently, they were blind to all the design elements and the way you executed them...NOT blah and the colors do POP!

The heart card looks like it's been
stitched. I think it's a great card.
thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year.

I like your cards. I like the colors, composition and evenness of your design. I often remind myself most blogs are run by very artistic, perhaps even educated at Art school people. I thinks that's why I love your blog so much. Through trial and error and your excellent imagination and creativity you present cards that, at least to me, are real and achievable. Your blog gives me great ideas that inspire me.

I happen to lsee me your cards. Whrn I first got into card makes no somehow got a free issue of a stamping magazine and after looking at it I could not believe the cards. My first thought was that I was glad I had not paid for the magazine! The cards were too artsy for me and dark and depressing. I have liked each card of yours that I have seen. And it looks like everybody who has responded agrees!
