Ruffled Flowers Stamp/Die in 3 WAYS!

Hello friends!
Warning: photo-heavy post

It is my turn to share THREE projects with you over Altenew Card Blog.
The Stamp Highlight this time is the ever popular "Ruffled Flowers".
You may have already seen many beautiful versions with this set during the release blog hop.
However, I am just getting started.... 😊
Today's 3 versions are my own interpretation. I sure had a blast creating the projects.

Ruffled Flowers is one of the most popular stamp sets from the December release. It is easy to lineup each layer and offers a ton of details without much effort. I am using 3 different types of medium to showcase this set.

Let's start with the very eye-catching colored card! I set out to create my own colorful paper with Altenew Ink Spray.  The mixed colors of Puffy Heart, Cosmic Berry, Sunkissed and Orange Cream from the November 2018 Ink Spray Bundle are simply gorgeous! I only need to sprayed a few spritz of water to facilitate the colors to mix. The hardest part? It's waiting for it to dry. I let it dry naturally, but you can use a heat tool if you are in a hurry!

Once dried, I stamped the two outline images with Embossing Ink and embossed them in Pure White Embossing Powder. I then popped the die cut images slightly over the edges with Jet Black Cardstock. The white-embossed sentiment from Ruffled Flowers fits perfectly. Even better, the Rock Collection Enamel Dots completes the design with a polished look.

My next card "YOU ARE IN MY thoughts" is a soft and subdued version.

My plan was to create borders with the masking of outline images. Here I used Cloudy Night from Gentleman's Gray Oval Set. With the matching die from Ruffled Flowers, the masking was quick and easy to do. I simply ran a piece of copy paper with Ruffled Flowers Die through my Mini Blossom Die Cut Machine.

I then stamped two images with Pocketful of Sunshine and Gentleman's Gray and lined them up with the masked borders. The bottom grey area was left uncolored as it fits the sentiment more aptly. I also took the liberty in using assorted colors of Enamel Dots.

My last card was a bright and glitzy one.

The coloring was so bright and cheery thanks to the Midnight Blue from Watercolor Brush Markers (Spring Garden).  With Vellum Translucent Paper in place, I topped it off with the" love" from Script Words Die and "U" from Fine Alphabet Die.

The Silver Glitter Tape and sequins are just the right embellishments for this.

I hope today's post give you extra ideas and inspiration with the versatile Ruffle Flowers.

Awesome cards showcasing the Ruffled Flower stamp and die! I enjoy all of them, but you're absolutely right, the first one is stunning!

Oh Virginia, these cards are STUNNING! I saw the first one with that gorgeous color on top of the black card stock and decided that was my favorite. And then...I scrolled down to the second card and on to the third. I realized that I don't have a favorite. I love them all and I enjoyed that you shared 3 such different layouts with different mediums. All of the cards keep that nice open white space as well. That's one of those things I am working to master that you always do so well. Just beautiful! Thank you for the inspiration!

You must be the most organized person in the world to pull off these spectacular cards during the holiday season. Each one is so different but absolutely fabulous. Love the colors of the first and third card but, have to say, that yellow and grey card has my heart.

Beautiful cards as always Virginia. I especially like the first one with the Ink Sprays against the black background, that one is stunning! I love the softness of the second one, perfect for sympathy or just "I care" cards. I love the elegance and sparkle of the third one, perfect for any occasion. Thank you for sharing these and for the always awesome inspiration. Merry Christmas to you and yours. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
