Color-Layering with Distress Oxide

Hello friends!
I am sharing a super TWEET and bright card today.

wishing you the best-002

Not only I stamped the birdie in Distress Oxide, I also used Distress Oxide for the background.
The ink blends so nicely together. When the ink dries, you can layer one color over another. In this case, you see the colors overlapping and they create a very pleasant color mix.
This also avoids the muddle up.... unless you really like brown!!?
wishing you the best

I started out with stamping the birdie in Distress Oxide.
I then made the die cut (Cut & Stitch Circle) and applied nearly the same colors. This resulted a colorful background.  I used Bristol paper and made sure it dries before I added another color each time.

This color-layering method also applies with regular Distress Inks.
wishing you all the best

I also added the leaf element and Burlap Edge Die
Since the images are full of colors, I kept the rest very simple.

wishing you all the best-001
I hope that you find today's post helpful.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I sure like the way you used the burlap edge die! Pairs nicely with your lovely bird!

The colors used for your background look so nice together. I use all of those colors, but never together. I need to expand my color combinations for sure. I love the soft muted tones even though the colors are typically bright. Very pretty bird on the burlap edge fence!
