Hello friends!
I am popping in with a quick post about Dahlia Frame Die.
Previously I created this card with the die. I took the "Divide and Conquer" approach.
This time, I am de-constructing the piece.
This approach is called "Split and conquer"! I die cut three pieces and cut them up.
For the frame, I cut them up in pieces and added Distress Oxide.
When I had this idea, I wasn't sure how it would turn out.
But in the end, it was nice to see the design worked.

The flowers are so beautiful and I love the splatter. I find the splatter quite difficult to master and yours is gorgeous. I love the depth you have on the card.
Gorgeous! I love how you colored the flowers also... Bummer that all those dies are out of stock already!
What a great idea to take the flower out of the frame of the die! I love the colors!
Taking the flower out of the frame is a great idea and stacking the frame pieces works so well to anchor the dahlias. Makes a gorgeous card!
So glad you deconstructed this die because it offers so many more options. And those colors are so awesome with your Virginia touches.
genius idea and a lovely card!
Love those flowers! Awesome die! Thanks for sharing your pretty card!
Great idea, Virginia! Using the flower part would be a "no brainer" for me, but I love that you used parts of the frame, too.
Love, love, love this of altering the die and using it all!
Just love your trio of blooms, Virginia! You colored them so beautifully!!
