Hello friends!
I am popping in with a quick one layer card today!
One layer cards are fun to create! All you need are some stamps and inks.
Of course, there are one layer cards that you can easily create with coloring and masking.

Today's card was one of the demo card that I did during ScrapFest.
I started out with stamping the solid images "A Study in Watercolor" in pink, purple and green.
Then I stamped the wreath image with "Weekend Doodles".
Then I stamped the wreath image with "Weekend Doodles".
The key is to aim for a visual "triangle" and the design will make sense to the eyes.
Although stamped images may look random, it really is not!
After all the stamping (including the sentiment) were completed, I decided to add some shine!
This nearly transparent Brutus Monroe Snowflake Glitter Glaze is great as an embellishment. I took out the Altenew Warp Speed Stencil and added the glitter paste around the sentiment.
At the end, I literally had to band-aid my card because I found a torn mark on bottom right corner!
Peach Gold Washi Paper came to the rescue! It all worked out. The end.
I hope this post inspires you to try using solid stamps and outline stamps together.
You will be surprised with what you create!
In tomorrow's post, I will announce the lucky winners from Show and Share
AND
two monthly Altenew $15 gift certificate!

Pretty card! I love that wreath image!
amazing Virginia. So much fun with the texture and colours.
What a great idea! I love the wreath like leaves and the colors you used on the solids
This is great! The water-colour flowers, wreath and the snowflake
all give the illusion of layers and depth! And I love the hint of sparkle!
Love how you incorporated the stencil with the glitter, the wreath, and the solid flowers together. The washi might have been a fix , but looks adds texture to the card. Very pretty card!
Simplicity at it's best.
this is such a lovely way to design - so pretty, Virginia!
Great colors and design and sparkle. I like how you fixed the boo boo.
So pretty! And fun to learn that Washi came to the rescue. :)
How fun to see that glitter shining on top of your pretty design!
This is something I've got to try. Love the look of the stamping over the watercolory solid stamps. The bit of sparkle around the sentiment is really effective.
You are so creative and this is ingenious!
