5 Easy Steps to Create an Impactful Card

Hello friends!
Hope you are ready for a very BRIGHT and HAPPY card!
It is my turn to share an Altenew project over Altenew Card Blog today.
I am using Dotted Starburst Cover Die as my example.

The popular "Fabulous Florets" is perfect set for this.
This set has gorgeous layering images and the outline stamps alone are with it.
The coordinating dies are almost always out of stock!
However, you can fussy cut them as I did in my other card seen here.

Altenew-Fabulous Florets Stamp Set-A Love for Stripes Set A 6x6 Paper Pack-Virginia#2
Have you created and sent out cards lately? A few days ago, I donated a shoe box-ful of my handmade cards to my father-in-law's retirement home. Since most retirement home and long-term care facilities are under "no visitor" restrictions, I know my cards will make the receivers smile and lift their spirit. The time and effort are absolutely worthwhile. Today's card is a super bright and cheerful one. The Fabulous Florets Stamp Set  is used for my example.

I have listed 5 steps on how to achieve the fab result effortlessly.
Step 1 Create your own colorful paper:

To start, apply Watercolor Brush Makers on Altenew Watercolor Paper. You can use any color (soft or bold) of your choice and apply liberally. Let dry overnight or use a heat tool to dry.

Step 2 Add Textures  (optional):  Trim the paper and place Dotted Starburst Cover Die (face down to the color paper). Then, ran it though the Mini Blossom or any die cut machine.

Step 3: Stamp the outline and die cut with Florets Dies. You can fussy cut out the florets if you choose to.
Step 4: Stamp the background with one of the layering image. With MISTI in place, I stamped the background in coordinating colors (Sunray, Chamomile, Fresh Leaf and Heart Beat) as the flowers.

Step 5 Finishing touches:  stamp the sentiment in Obsidian Pigment Ink and embellish with glitter.

I hope these 5 easy steps inspire you to get your supplies out and get creative! Your receivers will be thrilled to get something handmade with a great impact.
