DIY Metallic Embellishment

Hello friends!
I am popping in with a fun post to share.
It is about creating your own Metallic paper.
You can then use it for your focal point or embellishments!
Yes, metallic! It may seem complicated, but it really is not.
All you need is metallic watercolor ink and watercolor paper (listed at the end of the post).
I am using Altenew Metallic Watercolor, but you can use any type that you may have on hand. I am listing a few more at the end of the post and they all work great!

I am using Wavy Outline Roses as my example.
Starting with my DIY metallic paper, I applied the red, gold and copper colors.
Once dry, I ran the die through the die cut machine .

I wish you all good things

To keep the die cut pieces in tact, I used extra paper and adhere the loose pieces with Washi.

I wish you all good things -001

Then I worked on the background with Starburst Stencil.
For extra interest and dimensions, I added the Square Die.
wish you all good things

For good measure, I decided to add a piece of wide Gold Foil 1 inch Washi Tape.
This seems to give the entire card a good balance, too!
I wish you all good things

This is how it looks under the bright lights. I find the sentiment from Stone Mosaic Stamp Set is so suitable for a "thinking of you"/"congrats" themed cards.

Love how you used the Wavy Roses Outline Die--the metallic paints give it such a rich look. I really like the addition of the wide gold washi tape and the bottom and of course, my favorite, the gold metallic thread. Makes for an elegant card!! The inlaid die cut look has become one of my favorite looks!
