Altenew + The Daily Marker Watercolor Therapy Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello friends!

I am delighted to be part of the blog hop along with my Altenew DT to participate the fabulous Kathy Racoosin's Coloring Challenge. You can find all the details in Altenew Card Blog.

If you arrive from the lovely blog of Caly Person, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.

~all Altenew products used are listed at the end of this post~
For my project, I decided to use Precious Blooms Stamp Set. I can not recommend this set enough because it has wonderful outline stamp details for coloring.

This stamp set comes with two large blooms side by side. I find it so easy to stamp multiple flowers without much effort.

For my coloring medium, I used Watercolor 24 Pan Set for coloring the floral images. For the background, I used the Metallic Watercolor Set. I used two gold colors in this set.
These colors really pop and have beautiful shine thanks to the rich and creamy pigment.

Since the color combo is so vibrant, I toned it down with a small piece of vellum. The sentiment from Treble Cleft Die Set are just perfect as it has the right message, style and size.

I took my time to color each flower and let it dry in between each small section.

There is no doubt that water-coloring IS therapeutic. All you need to focus is on the water-coloring. It does take your mind off the stress and escape the reality for a few minutes. I hope that you are inspired to do some water-coloring after this blog hop!

I'm looking for water coloring tips. You have at least two. I love the metallic background. Leaving sections to dry before coming back to them is the best but hardest tip of all.

So, so pretty!! I love how you water-colored making it look more 'artsy' -- not always filling in up to the outline. I am going to try this. Thank you!
