Hello friends!
I am popping in with a post about Washi Tape. Today's card was CAS card I made for my son-in-law.
It may be clean and simple, but the concept and design did take me some time to figure out. Since I gave the card to Greg last month, it is time to share with you all.
Let's start with the number. I used Foiled Marble Washi Tape. This Washi Tape is definitely on the luxurious side. Got your sunglasses ready!?
About this Washi Tape: This washi tape combines the beauty of natural marble with the glamor of gold foil! This tape will be an elegant and timeless addition to any handmade card or scrapbook layout. Use it as a background for your next project, or apply it to cardstock and die-cut for an amazing effect!
I don't know if you are feeling challenged about making masculine card for young folks... this card might give you an extra idea.
Using numbers proves to be a good solution for making masculine cards. I made birthday cards for my 94-year-old father-in-law in the last few years. He has dementia.... and it works well with guys of any age really. No fuss and no muss. It's a good thing for a guy's birthday card.
To create the metallic panel, I die cut a piece of Gold Foil Card Stock first with Rounded Rectangles Die. I then dry-embossed it with Angled Mosaic Embossing Folder.
I tried to mimic the marble by stamping Trendy Circle in shades of grey. BTW Greg loves this card and said that it was very "lux"!
Here is another example of using Foiled Marble Washi Tape.
