I know masking is not for everyone....some may find it too fussy because it involves some fussy cutting. I understand that can be an issue. However, by choosing the right image, masking can be a very satisfying exercise and experience for stamping.
When I saw the Clear Stamp of The Month from Spellbinders, I was charmed by the cute images. The bunnies are just the right size for fussy-cutting.
I started out from stamping the bunny on the far right. After covering that bunny with the masking paper. Then I stamped the bunny in the middle . Next came the largest one on the left. I didn't bother to mask the middle bunny and just stamped the big bunny and that's it!
A few things to keep in mind when masking:
1.start stamping the one that you want in the foreground
2. cut the masking paper right on the line (without white edges)
3. practice on your scrap paper first. This will save your precious card-stock!
4. plan ahead and try it out! If you have a hard time envisioning the scene, just try them out !
5. remember, start with the most important one (see #1! )
6. patience: you may not get the space and images right the first time, but you will if you keep at it.
I also stamped the flowers in pink around the bunnies. I colored the bunnies with Distress Oxide. I embellished the details with the goodies from the Monthly Card Kit
Spellbinders is currently offering extra $25 off with purchase over $100 (plus FREE US shipping). Shop HERE
