Hello friends!
It's my turn to share 3 new projects with you over Altenew Card Blog. The Let's Go Stamp & Die & Coloring Stencil Bundle is my stamp highlight today.
I have created 3 projects (one extra from the release blog hop) to show you how you can maximize the use of this set. With each card, I will share 7 fun and cool things to try and elevate your designs. You can also apply these ideas with your favorite Altenew supplies.
~All products used are listed at the end of this post with Inlinkz~
From the first glance, you might think this set is only suitable for travel and outdoor themes. With the following examples, I hope that we can expand our horizons together.
1. Stamp a Text Background
I started out with stamping the text "Life is an Adventure" with Vanilla Cream Crisp Dye Ink. With the masking stencil, I stamped and stenciled the Venice night scene (Deep Blue Seas, Delectable Chocolate, Enchanted Dreams, and Citrus Burst).
I then die cut the circle with coordinating die and popped it up with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. It is so cool to see the text background in continuation within the circle, isn't it?
2. Add that Midas Touch
The gold ring around the circle can be easily done with the matching circle die and Gold Foil Paper. The gold element really elevates the overall design.
The sentiment (Sentiment Strips Stamp Set) conveys beautifully with the Venice landscape.
Here are the day and night scenes of Venice. You can create any scenic cards as your heart desires!
3. Inspired by Patterned Paper
Need some color inspiration? Look through your patterned paper in your stash. I was so inspired by the Poured Acrylic Paper Pad and used one of the papers for my backdrop.
Based on the paper's colors, I stenciled the nature scene with Teal Cove, Mountain Mist, Sea Breeze, Deep Blue Seas, and Seashore Crisp Dye Inks.
4. Add Pops of Colors
As you can see, I added a sun/moon in my designs. By adding the pops of color, the scene truly came to life. You can die cut a tiny circle and stencil around the sun/moon. You can also add bright colors to the sky, too!
5. Use Die/Stencil as the Guide
The great thing about this set is that you can use the die and stencil as your guide without a stamp positioner. The negative stencil will help you aligned the stamp/stencil position. Therefore, do not overlook your shape dies as they are so useful.
6. Change up the Sentiment
This travel stamp set can be used in other themes such as anniversary, encouragement, thinking of you, birthdays, and all occasion cards. If you look beyond the sentiment in this set, you know you can create many more kinds of projects! This birthday card's sentiment is from Sentiment Strips Stamp Set.
Thanks to the stencils, I was able to create the scene in one layer. To add that extra texture, I dry-embossed the patterned paper (Enjoy The Ride Paper Pad) with the Buffalo Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.
7. Use PART of the 3D Embossing Folder
I inked up the surface with darker green and that makes the card stand out even more. You can create accent pieces easily by using only part of the Embossing Folder. A little bit goes a long way!
I hope this post is helpful and interesting. I sure had a blast creating with this set - I was so immersed in the stunning images as they took me back to my trip to Venice and Lake Louise!
It will be great to have your feedback over Altenew Card Bog! It's always nice to see your comments there. Thanks so much for stopping by!
