Hello friends!
Today's card is a mashup from a pile of scraps. I picked out a few old items and created NEW element to compliment the old ones.
I Googled the term Mashup and this is what I find from Wikipedia.
A mashup (also mesh, mash up, mash-up, blend, bastard pop or bootleg ) is a creative work, usually in a form of a song, created by blending two or more pre-recorded songs, typically by superimposing the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the instrumental track of another, changing the tempo and key where necessary. To the extent that such works are "transformative" of the original content.

I started out with the left over pieces with Tropical Leaf Die (with Enjoy the Ride Washi Tape).
With the colors of the Washi tape, I created my own background with Gel Plate.
If you have not tried Gel Plate yet, you should totally try it! It is likely the easiest way to create your own blend of inky background.
I added the sentiment from Dovetail Butterfly.
I am quite happy with this mashup design turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

So pretty. I like your mashup technique.
I like the idea on how to use up some scraps. Good combination.
This is gorgeous, Virginia! Glad to
see someone else uses scraps too!!!
Isn't it fun when something lovely comes together like this??? And using scraps make me happy!!!
You certainly know how to put your scraps together to make one cohesive card. This one is delightful.
What a great card! Hard to imagine these are all scraps that you put together as they coordinate so well. Love the gel plate background. I ordered a gel plate last week and am looking forward to trying it.
