Hello friends!
I am delighted to be part of Spellbinder Club Kit blog Hop. Please enjoy today's hop and leave a comment for a chance to win Spellbinders gift voucher!
The first card highlight the Pattern Paper and Ephemera (from Monthly Card Kit).
The technique I used to create an intricate background is "Paper-Weaving". As I made die cut with the pattern paper, I was left with tiny strips of paper which gave me the idea of paper-weaving.
Once I finished weaving, I trimmed of the top right corner and started to create a garden scene. The ephemera were so fun to get me creative!
I also inked up the background in blue and stamped the small flowers and sentiment.
This is such a happy and cheery card. If you have not tried paper-weaving, you totally should.
My next card features the "Embossing Folder", ephemera and pattern paper.
I started out with creating a colorful background with the Embossing Folder. The bright and happy colors really elevate the design.
The sentiment from the stamp set (part of the Monthly Card Kit) makes me smile and fits my design.
For the sentiment, I used the Spellbinders Precision Rectangle Dies (linked below). The Rectangles dies are not just for cutting frames. The sizes of the dies are so useful for sentiment as well.
I hope that you enjoy seeing what I created for you.

Happy, Spring-like cards. Perfect for any occasion. You're so fabulous at merging all these elements into one cohesive piece.
The card kit looks like it has a lot of cute embellishments. I like how you used the embossing folder for added texture.

Cute cards.
Really like the card which has the paper weaving. Being a quilter, I love when card designers combine different pieces of patterned papers. It is almost like quilting with paper.
What adorable cards Virginia. love that little lamb and the use of your scraps is awesome. Inspired me to try out some weaving on my cards.
Lovely projects...
The paper weaving background was a wonderful idea and great use of scrap paper. Both cards are lovely!

Love the woven background and your color choices for the background embossing folder. Pretty cards!
Virginia, I love how you colored the "debossed" side of the embossing folder to create your background. I've never thought of that before! Definitely going to have to try it. Thank you for sharing your two techniques! -Donna
