Color-Layering with Tulip Dies

Hello friends!

I am delighted to share a SPRING project with you. This tulip die set will definitely get you excited about Spring.

Virginia Lu-Layered Tulips Etched Dies-April2022 - Copy

Layered Tulips Etched Dies is part of the Layered Fleur Bouquet Slimlines Collection by Becca Feeken. The set of six thin metal dies helps to create a wonderful array of tulip shapes. There are three motifs to choose from and combine with. Make them dimensional by layering petals and leaves or shade them with inks. These blooms are substantial enough to fit a variety of card sizes from A2 to A7, and slimlines.

First of all, I must admit how amazed I was with the details of this tulip die.tulip #1

With each grouping of the dies, I assembled each tulip based on the shape and sizes of the tulip.

By using various Distress Oxide, I was able to ink each petal with amazing color hues and shades.

I am not sure if you can see it, I added fine lines with Hawaiian Shore Brush Markers. There are two tips in each markers, I added the fine tips with the small tips.

For some dramatic effect, I added splatter with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Spray.

What do you think? I really love the vibrancy of this tulip card. Thanks for stopping by!
