Hello friends!
I am popping in with a new project. This "Bird of Paradise Etched Dies" is from Spellbinders January release (Painter's Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn).
To be honest, I was a bit skeptical how realistic these few pieces of dies can be. I have seen Bird of Paradise plant before and find it so exotic and beautiful. Can a set of die duplicate the look?
What do you think? I decided to sort out petals, leaves and stems. Once I decided on the pieces, I started ink up the colors with Distress Oxide.
These colors are based on my observations of online images. As you can tell some of the pieces have multiple colors in it. I really get a kick out of coloring the pieces.
For the shape die, I die cut two pieces of Essential Floral Dies and used the outlines only. What do you think? I am loving it and have one of Bird of Paradise project to share!
Thanks for stopping by!
