Maximize The Use of a Small Stancil Image

 Holiday Wreath & Branch Stencil and Die Set

 Today's project was created without a stamp (except the sentiment).

First, I had a vision/idea of using small repeated images.  The small bow from the set was perfect.  I started out with stenciling in various colors of bows.

 You can simply use die in various card stock and die cut directly. However, I love the small white lines around the image, so I did stencil and then die cut.

 As you can see, I did added some interest with the wreath stencil. This background may be subtle, but it ha a nice touch with the colorful bows.

 The glitter blow was die cut from THIS.

  

I noticed that there is a slight gap on top, so I added some faux stitching. I hope you get some ideas and feeling inspired.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Simple Way of Using a Small Panel Die

I am popping in to share a simple way of using a small panel die. 

Wave Panel Die 

(Altenew, Scrapbook. com, Simon Says Stamp)

About this die: Loosely inspired by Japanese artwork, this panel die features a gorgeous detailed wave design. Cut it once to serve as the focal point on your project, or two side-by-side to fill most of an A2 card panel. The elegance of the crashing waves will surely elevate the look of your next project!

 For this project, I started out with die-cutting the panel with Holographic Paper Pad.

For the colorful background, I did some ink-blending. on white cardstock. I trimmed the colored cardstock to size and fit it into the panel.

I think with the panel, you can leave it as is. I decided to Craft-a-Flower Sunshine Flowers to stamp the borders. Have you ever tried using outline stamps to stamp a pattern? If not, you should give it a go! This is such an effective way to create an instant pattern.

Instead of stamping the sentiment in black, I chose a bright red.

I am taking part of the Alex Syberia IG Hop today. You can find it HERE and enter to comment. 

For my poinsettia, I picked out various pink, red and deep red colors of cardstock from THIS (GREAT DEAL right now) pack. Once I die cut, it was rather easy to put together the poinsettia.

For the leaves, I did the same with from THIS (GREAT DEAL right now) paper pads.

During my creative process, out of impulse, I added white ink all over the poinsettia.... I thought I made a HUGE mistake. Since the white color was a bit overpowering, the red seemed to be hidden. I kind of regretted adding white. However, once I spread the white ink (pigment ink like this) more evenly, it all worked beautifully. I called it a BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE.

I added a few droplets of Gold Stickles  and red glitter circles (from THIS cardstock).

If you study this stamp set, you'll notice that it has such delicate design with that thin stem and leaves. I used this set of ink with the stencil.

I took advantage of the delicate stencil, stamp and die combo and did "Partial Die-cutting".  You can totally do just the die-cutting and adhered the die cut piece over a piece of cardstock.

However, I really love the look of detailed die-cutting of Midnight Blooms Stamp & Die & Stencil.

And of course, I don't always plan or think ahead. I messed up with the stamping of the sentiment.

So, I fixed the problem by white-embossing the sentiment and adhered the stamped die cut to the booboo!

 

Finally, I stamped the small sparkle bits in White Pigment Ink and used the die to make the glitter bits with Glitter Gradient Gold Sunset Cardstock.

I incorporated 3 colors into this design and found it really eye-catching. This set comes with TWO bows and I just love how it can be used with or without the stamps.

Last but not least, that sentiment "NOEL" is such a standout. I simply adhered the white cardstock over the Holographic Cardstock.
