Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge #394

s
Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge !! Thank you for joining us for the Thinking of you Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)
This week the challenge is...

 Thanks/Thanksgiving

We are using Tim Holtz products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some, we love to see them used :)

For my project, I used the Tim Holtz Autumn Layering Stencil.Previously I used the same stencil and made this....

Thankful for you

Instead of doing my ink-blending like this one, I chose to emboss the image with this handy Boss Gloss (from Stampendous). I highly recommend this embossing bottle since it is so convenient to use, especially on small and specific area.

Thankful for you-001

Once the leaf images were embossed, I applied Distress Inks all over and let the watercoloring do its work. Once dried, I embellished it with music notes from Botanical Remnant Rub-on and added vellum sentiment.

I love the textures and shine from the Ranibow Sparkle Embossing Powder. As for the sentiment? I stamped in Versafine and clear-embossed it. This ensures the super clear image on vellum!

Thankful for you

Do you love this look? I think it is very organic and artsy!

Very creative and I am especially delighted with the embossed one. That's a product I am not familiar with. The colorful leaves are wonderful. We've been raking, and I love looking at the different colors especially on one leaf. Wonderful cards.

Very neat technique to emboss the leaves. I need to try this. And I also loved your "bird" technique above. I need to try that as well. Thanks for the inspiration!!
