Hello friends!
I can't believe that we are into No. 25 Virginia's View Challenge already.
They say time flies when you are having fun...so true!
I am re-posting it here in case you are my new followers and you didn't know I run a challenge blog called Virginia's View Challenge. There is a theme which can be an element or technique.
This month's theme will challenge you and....oh the prize.....it's INCREDIBLE!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy November!
Our latest challenge is going to be amazing. Not only that you are challenging yourself to create something fun and different, you might have a shot at winning our top prize!
The theme is Stripes and Plaid
Yup, stripes and plaid. It's that simple.
We see them everywhere we turn. You can find stripe and plaid in fashion, home decor, TV commercials, window displays in the mall....etc. These simple elements make a huge impact on our every day designs.
Definition of stripes:
a relatively long, narrow band of a different color, appearance, weave, material, or nature from the rest of a surface or thing.
Definition of plaid:
a pattern on cloth of stripes with different widths that cross each other to form squares
Instead of stamping the stripes, I color-embossed the stripes as it gives the color that shine with subtle textured look.
The stripey elements are simple, but they really help you draw the eyes to the focal point.
To coordinate the colors, I did multi-color stamping with the sentiment.
Here is a quick way of using plaid in your design, too! By using the Lawn Fawn Plaid paper, this stamped design really pop thanks to the plaid!
What do you think? You can use stamps, dies, stencils or any everyday object to create your stripes and plaid. Or like I did here, you can also rely on trusty design/pattern paper to get the instant result. Any styles and design are welcome. Sky is the limit!
This monthly card-making challenge blog will run till the 18th (11:55pm Eastern Time) and there will be a SPOTLIGHT feature of Top 10 Favorites on the 25th. Any style and all levels are most welcome! You can read more about the challenge guidelines at the bottom of the page.
Among the Top 10 Fav, there will be a random draw for a lucky (and talented) winner who will then receive the top prize. In order to qualify for the top prize, your project has to be NEW (not linked back to a previously made project). You are welcome to combine other challenges, but please limit your total number of challenges to no more than 4.
Our Top Winner (randomly selected from Top 10 Favorites) will receive a
