Hello friends!
I am sharing an Altenew projects over Altenew Card Blog today!
Since Altenew just released two more sets of alcohol-based Artist Markers, I thought it would be good to share more ideas on using these markers on Vellum.

I am using the following stamps and dies for this example.
I saw it on ALTENEW

Golden Feather Stamp & Die Bundle
Altenew File12

I took out the lovely November release "Golden Feathers Stamp and Die Bundle" and did some background stamping first. The colors I used are: Deep Blue Seas Oval/Mini Cube, Shades of Purple Oval/Mini Cube and Seashore Oval/Mini Cube. Did you notice the pink "polka dots"? I inked up one of smaller dotty stamp in "Golden Feathers" in Pink Diamond to fill up the background.

Next comes the fun part... I applied the Artist Markers Set B and Artist Markers Set C to a heavy vellum.

I colored the darkest purple and blue all over the vellum. I then turned the vellum over and heat-embossed the feather image on top of the colored vellum. The feather was embossed in Pure White Embossing Powder in the usual fashion.

Altenew Artist Markers are alcohol-based, so they work perfectly with non-porous surface, such as vellum paper. To prevent it from warping, I used heavier vellum paper (40 Lbs, see here).

The sentiment (from Story of Us Stamp Set) was stamped in Lava Rock Crisp Dye Ink.

I tied up the feathers in silver strings and embellish the card with sequins. One last thing: you can totally customize your sequin colors by coloring the clear sequins with Altenew Artist Markers! Because that's what I did here with this card. That means, you can now stop buying colored sequins (haha!!). The best thing is? They ALL MATCH! I hope this gives you an extra idea about using the Artist Markers! I am so glad that you choose part of your Black Friday to visit me here.

Seriously in love with this card. The way you stamped in the background makes it so elegant and is the perfect backdrop to showcase your beautifully colored feathers.
