Hello friends!
Before we get into card-making, let's take a look at my backyard....
Isn't Fall season grand? Now the leaves are all nearly gone after I took the photo.

As you can see this die is such an iconic Christmas image, it is easy to just color the die and you've got a great card! And that is pretty much what I did.
I took out some Distress Ink and colored the holly and berries accordingly. After I did all that, I realized that it would be neat to do inlaid die cutting. That way, you can pretty much create any background you like.
I proceed to die cut the white card stock and made sure I left some proper space for the holly and berries. I did some ink-blending with Squeezed Lemon and Mustard Seed.
I then fit everything back to its spot like a puzzle.
Other favorite mediums of mine will work great with coloring the Holly and Berry,
I will be sharing my creation with the following Penny Black metal die soon. This one is also super popular. Be sure to get it if you are interested . Simple click on the photo and it will take you right to the source.

This is so pretty!! I LOVE the inlaid die cut look!
Beautiful card, Virginia. Those yellows around your inlaid holly & berries really makes them pop. And the berries look nearly edible (if they really weren't poisonous, lol!). So festive! Bev
