Add a Little Shine

Hello friends!
I am popping in to share a card with some shine.
Hopefully, when you see the card, you feel a ray of sunshine coming through your way....
s

This Tree of Hearts Metal Die from Penny Black is so full of LOVE!
I added some extra details to let love come through.

I started out by die cutting two pieces of card stock (gold foil and white).
Once I had done that, I picked out the pieces I wanted and assembled the pieces.
Love

I used the following card stock for different purposes.

Love-001

~gold foil: pick out all the gold hearts and save bits of pieces of negative parts as well.
~white: ink up the tree with Distress Oxide, Vintage Photo (the entire tree frame). I also saved the tiny hearts and later colored them in rainbow colors.

Love

For the background, I did some Ink-blending with Distress Oxide and kept it simple.
Putting the gold hearts back to its tiny space was not as daunting as it looked.

While I was having fun, I added extra gold pieces (the negative part) at the top.

Love

I was truly happy how this turned out. It's a sign of a well-designed die.
Thanks for stopping by!

(The supplies I used are linked below. Tree of Hearts Metal Die is in limited quantity over SSS.)

Just stunning, Virginia! The gold adds so much to the tree and I love how you used the positive and negative die cuts! The Distress Oxides blended background is beautiful!

Really pretty card. Loved how you combinned the gold and regular cardstock. Putting the pieces back in is tedious but in this case it sure was worth the time.

Your card is great. And yes, the 'gold' sunshine is much appreciated on this gray, col day. I am especially taken with the hearts you colored as well as the charming gold heart frames on the top. Wonderful.

No, you've done it...knocked my socks right off my feet. This is really gorgeous. Love the spots of rainbow colors intermixed with the luscious gold and the simple sentiment that says it all. Also, those floaty gold hearts are a sweet touch. Awesome work.
