Hello friends!
Photo-heavy Post
Photo-heavy Post
First, I want to mention that Altenew is releasing
Sunlit Flower Card Making Kit.
You can purchase it here.
It is my turn to share a Stamp Focus with you over Altenew.
Stamp Focus basically features a specific stamp set. In this feature, the card designer shows off the same stamp set in at least 3 different creative ways. I REALLY love doing this kind of feature.
Sewn with Love (Altenew Shop)
Sewn with Love Stamp (Simon Says Stamp) and Die (Simon Says Stamp)
I am listing the key features in each card for easy reference. Here we go!
Card #1 Sending lots of love
Arranging these hearts was fun to do!
3. Embellish the design with Vellum Translucent Paper and sequins.
Simple yet chic and stylish!!?
Tracing the edges is an effective way to highlight the image.
Card #4 Sending Warm Hugs
These are many creative things you can do with this stamp and die set.
I am hoping that you are still here.... this is a super long post!
Lastly, these are the 5 cards that I made with this stamp set.
I am listing the key features in each card for easy reference. Here we go!
Card #1 Sending lots of love

1. Solid stamps are the best for testing out the old and new inks.
2. The crossed-stitched hearts may look intricate and yet, they are easy to cut out as the edges are all in straight lines.
3. Pop some of the hearts up with foam tape for added dimensions and interest.
4. Inks used here (from left to right): Turquoise, Minty Mint, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, Pinkalicious, Sunkissed and Cool Summer Night Oval Set.
Arranging these hearts was fun to do!

Card #2 Because You Are Extra Special
1. This card combines stamping with the Altenew Design Paper from Reflection 6"x6" Paper Pad.
2. Follow the pattern of the paper and stamp. The polka dots on the pattern paper served as my guide when stamping the hearts.
3. Embellish the design with Vellum Translucent Paper and sequins.
4. Embossing the sentiment with Antique Gold really dresses up a card.
5. Do not be intimidated by using pattern paper. The color palette are great source of inspiration, too!

Card #3 I {heart} You
1. Parchment Cardstock is perfect for stamping, especially with darker inks such as Tea Party Oval Set and Green Meadows Oval Set.
2. Follow the die and trace the outer edge with a white jell pen.
3. The white-embossed sentiment (in Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder) helps bring out the contrast of colors

Tracing the edges is an effective way to highlight the image.

Card #4 Sending Warm Hugs

1. Altenew Inks are formulated for color-layering. Simply follow the guide (from the package) and you can create this intricate look without any problems.
2. The Sewn with Love Die Set serves as a great guide for stamping. I did the die-cutting first and then I only needed to line up the stamps with the pin holes.
3. Get extra millage with the stamps by using the smaller stamps. The "ground" was inked in Rock Collection Oval Set and stamped with one of the petal stamps.

4. Use a Silver Gel Pen to trace the edges after stamping.
5. Embellish the corner with a small piece of cut out from Creative Edges: Lace Die
6. Pierce the pin holes and make a bow with silver thread.
7. Glue sequins for extra shine and pizzazz!
8. Altenew Cardstock offer many fabulous choices. Dark Gray Cardstock is one of them!
These are many creative things you can do with this stamp and die set.
I am hoping that you are still here.... this is a super long post!

Lastly, these are the 5 cards that I made with this stamp set.

Just so lovely Virginia. And this set is so versatile as you've shown so expertly. They really truly look stitched.
Love your product focus posts...you always come up with unique ideas that, frankly, I'd neve think of, and this post is no exception. Beautiful creations, of course...I mean, you're Virginia Lu. But the imagination and creativity to you apply to each card is what fascinates me.
