Altenew Build-a-Flower Peony Blossom

Hello friends!
Hope you are having a great day so far!
Finally, it's time share my new creation with this month's Build-a-Flower set!
I know I said that every month, but the release is always so exciting.
s
Some info about this stamp/die set:
Build-A-Flower: Peony Blossom set includes 1 stamp set (15 images) and 1
coordinating die set (8 dies).

The Peony Blossom Build-A-Flower has a slightly different approach than our conventional Build-A-Flower sets. The stamp set has three five-petal flowers accompanied by a shading layer and a center layer. You may use these flowers as is, or layer them to create dimension. The matching dies will cut the flowers all the way to the edge without leaving a border.

I took a conventional approach to this stamp set.
Since I like to mail cards out , I made it mail-friendly!

I love the fact that the die cut flower can be used as its own, other than the 3D peony!! How awesome is that.

My card took a little bit a pre-planning. First, I had to decide where to position the flower.
I then made the dry-embossed print with the Tan Embossed Mat.

I then I took out the largest die and used the negative part as mask. After lightly applying ink, I adhere the layered stamped petals and arranged it accordingly. I did the same with the leaves.

I hope that you like my take on this stamp and die set.
Believe me, I have a few more versions!
And.... I have yet to try the 3D version!

Hi, Virginia!
Using the first layer as a dry embossing layer is a great idea and tip! This certainly helps with making cards mailable :) This card is a beauty! Thanks!

A truly lovely card. As I read your approach to this card, I realized the 'thinking' part is critical! You sure did 'think' and the result is extraordinary!

Always good idea to preplan I am learning, slowly. Your card is so beautiful, the fact that you still have so many other colour versions before you 3D them will mean we get to see lots more thankfully from you.
