Deconstructing a Stamp and a Die

Hello friends!
I have a fun post to share. You know how I like to add my own twist to stamps and dies.
Happy birthday-001
I am using Penny Black's stamp and die as my example (all inks are listed at the end of this post).

from Simon Says Stamp

I stamped the images in 3 parts and stamped in a different angle each time.
Starting from the bottom, I stamped the largest bloom first.

I love adding multiple colors and this was made possible with a stamp positioner, such as MISTI.
Happy Birthday

Ding-->when stamping multiple images, always start with the main/largest image first!
That way, you are able compose and design more aesthetically.

Once I stamped the largest flowers, I stamped the top part. I then worked around the border one little bit at a time. The die and stamp are of the same design and yet, they are not in matching size!

In order to add embellishment with the die, I chose vellum. I find that by using vellum, the beautiful stamped flowers can still come through.

I took great pride in this card and couldn't stop taking photos of it.

Talk about stretching supplies...your post really speaks to that, beautifully. And the results are beyond stunning. Lovely to see how well this technique works...the vellum leaves just take it to new levels.

The colors are lovely, the vellum adds mystery and the way you composed all together is so elegant even using kraft paper makes a statement, the added sequins are the icing on the cake! Wonderful and magical.
