Hello friends!
I have a floral (surprise!!) card to share!
There are various ways to do "Spotlight" technique.
I took an easy way and used a Circle Die to spot light the focal point.
The latest Penny Black release gave me the inspiration.
The new "Stitched Circles" are extra special! Once you die cut a piece of card stock, it cuts the circle out and also leave the stitched mark on the top side, so you can use BOTH parts!
I am using the Stamp set called "Bliss" as my example.
Once the flowers were stamped and clear-embossed with Distress Oxide, I applied Carved Pumpkin, Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed to the background. I then stamped exactly the same image onto a white card stock. Be sure to have the exact same size of card stock when you do so. This would help with the alignment of the images.
I then die cut it with Stitched Circles. To kick it up a notch, I dry-embossed it with Leaf Stitched Frames. The edges from the frame leave such some fabulous yet subtle details!
The sentiment was stamped with "Beautiful Heart" . I added peach/orange sequins.
This card is not perfect in a few minor details. Overall, it still has its fine merits.

Love this stitched circle die! Love the technique, too.
The card itself is gorgeous, and I like your
method of spotlighting! The dry-embossed edge
is a great little touch!
Wow!! This is so beautifully done! Wonderful technique.
Very pretty. I like the stitched circle die you used.
I love the warm colors highlighted by the circle frame!
What a gorgeous spotlight card, Virginia--love the twist!
These cards are right up my alley, lovely!
Awesome dies and floral stamp! Beautiful card! The Stitched Circles die set looks awesome!
Beautiful!! I love the colors, all the pretty details and the great techniques you used.
love your card and fantastic idea for spotlighting!
what an amazing way to do the spotlight technique.. Really beautiful
I disagree, it looks pretty perfect to me. Love that spotlight method and all the Virginia touches.
This is BREATHTAKING!! I love how you stamped that flower and the use of the die is amazing!!! GREAT design!
The Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, and Worn Lipstick colors look amazing together as the backdrop to your lovely Bliss stamped flower. I really like the glitter accents you used on the flower. The stamp reminds me of the Queen Anne's Lace flower which is one of my favorite. Really pretty card. I see none of the flaws you mention!
so pretty
