Hello friends!
I am popping in with a quick post about Altenew's NEW Artists Watercolor 24 Pan Set.
For me, the easiest way to test out new watercolor set is to do some Emboss Resist.
I am using Vase Fillers as my example.
I am using Vase Fillers as my example.
To start, I white-embossed the images on Watercolor paper TWICE. I wanted the white to be very bright and prominent. I then chose all the rich tones and applied watercolors.
For this set of Artists Watercolor, I love the CREAMINESS and how the colors BLEND. It is definitely superior than the average watercolor sets.
Once I am satisfied with the color mix, I let it dry and die cut it with Rounded Frame Die.
To show off the color and contrast, I added a piece of white die cut.
I felt that it can use a little embellishment and so, I decided to use some black string.

You are right, Virginia - there is a creaminess to the watercolor that I LOVE ! Love that you used a Kraft cs base too - lovely card!!
Brilliant!
Lovely...great color.
I like this as a coloring study. Really feel like it's easy for practice, but still makes a good card.
Card is bright and cheery!
These watercolours are so vibrant. Great card Virginia
Great way to test out new watercolors.
I'm anxious to try out these watercolors!
So pretty, LOVE the bright and vibrant water colors and the kraft card base!
The white embossing on the orange background look great with the kraft cardstock. Like the addition of he white card stock and the black string. Great contrast.
What a colorful card! Simple and beautiful design! :)
