Altenew Build-A-Flower: Torch Ginger Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Happy April, my friends! Let's hope April is a bright and happy one!
It's time to share another exciting Altenew Build-A-Flower with you.
We are celebrating this month's Build-A-Flower Torch Ginger with a blog hop!
https://shrsl.com/270lo
If you arrive from the blog of the fabulous Vicky Papaioannou, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.

First of all, I must say that I had the BEST time inking up this large gorgeous Torch Ginger.
Altenew-Build--Flower-Torch Ginger-Virginia#1

I started out with stamping the background with the 3rd layering stamp. You can use ANY of the layering stamp to create background. I tend to use the partial solid ones as they give just the right amount of colors and details.

Altenew-Build--Flower-Torch Ginger-Virginia#2

Once I was happy with the background, I then worked on the focal point and used every layering stamp to complete the flower. I wasn't sure about using the darker brown for the outline.... but in the end, I was so pleased how the brown looks so fabulously with the pink and yellow.

Lastly, I decided that only Ornate Cover Die can do these gorgeous bloom justice. I trimmed off part of the Ornate Cover Die and tagged in between the leaves and flower.
I'm sure you'd agree.... it is a lovely addition to the design.

I love the colors you selected. They are what I think of when I think of ginger. How clever to just use part of the cover die. I'll remember that.

The detail in this stamp set is brilliant! I really like the colours that sort of blend together in the background at the bottom of each flower. I'm going to have to remember the tip about cutting a background die & just using part of it. It's easy to get stuck in the rut of thinking the whole thing needs to be used. Thanks for that Virginia. Hope you are staying safe & well back there.
