How to Use COLORS to Create a Cohesive Design

Hello friends!
I am excited to share a project with you since I made this card a while ago.
https://shrsl.com/27cm0
Creative Corners Thin Metal Creative Die
The online stores such as Scrapbook.com (not in stock yet)
and
Simon Says Stamp has very limited dies in stock.
Be warned, these dies are super popular. If you are interested, you should grab it asap.

For my project, I started out by choosing a few colors that I want to incorporate into my design.

The colors I used are Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Wild Honey, Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage, and Cracked Pistachio.  I started out with ink-smooshing the background with pink and yellow and let it dry.

Then I inked up the paper in light green and yellow. I then die cut my DIY paper with  Creative Corners. This die reminds me of the ornate garden trellis. It is perfect for floral designs.
BTW I have another idea about stretching this die, more to follow!

In keeping the colors cohesive (as the title of this post suggests), the easiest way is to use all the chosen colors within all of your elements. Therefore, I followed though with colors that will work with the background. I took out Country Charisma Creative Die and used it as the focal point.

Once I have all the pieces in place, I assembled them and carefully mounted them onto kraft card stock. All the colors that I chose are harmonious and pleasing to the eyes. It is simply because I used the exact colors with various degree of colors and shades. And that makes it a cohesive design.

I hope that you love what I share today. I really had the best time creating this card.
You can find most recent release (Secret Garden) here over Scrapbook.com (shipping is as usual).

Wonderful card in lovely colors! This Penny Black die reminds me of traditional designs we used to draw in front of our houses in India, called 'kolam' or 'rangoli' :)

The colors you used really go well together. The Creative Corners die reminds me of a garden trellis as well. The watering can in the same colors is the perfect focal image for your design and finishes of your cohesive design very well.
