Hello friends!
Have you tried Generational Stamping?
Ir's an oldie but a goodie.
In my early days of stamping, I was amazed with this technique.
Altenew Fragile Foliage
I first took stamping class in the early 90s in my local craft store.
After the instructor showed me the Generational Stamping, I was hooked ever since ( much like what embossing did to most of us).
Part of the stamping fun is to stretch your inks and stamps.
The new Altenew Fragile Foliage is great for Generational Stamping.
Back to the Generational Stamping? Where do you start?
For me, I like to start with the faintest and farthest image. That means, from the top.
I used a scrap paper on the side to test out how much I can generate the right shades of ink.

Eventually, I stamped the darkest shades at the bottom. This is purely personal preference.
I am not sure if there is even the "right" way. BUT, this looks right to me and that's all what counts.

Pretty card! I love the images in this Fragile Foliage set!
What a pretty card. The foliage looks like trees. Love the ombre look
Virginia, I think your way is the perfectly beautiful way!

I love this stamp from the new release. Lots of potential. I like how you used the stamping method to fill the design.
Oooooo I LOVE this! The yellow is gorgeous!
You had me at yellow, sweet friend. The generational stamping is perfect to show off this delicate bloom. So dainty and beautiful.
I love generational stamping, too, Virginia. I used to do it a lot, but now just once in awhile. This is a great image to use. Funny--I always start with the darkest, but maybe because I often use it for a frame. This is a beautiful card!
The Fragile Foliage set is the perfect one to use for the generational stamping. Your card is so pretty. I agree that the darkest stamping looks good at the bottom of the card. The name of this stamp set is perfect--so delicate and fragile looking. About the same time you took the stamping class, I took one at an art supply store and learned about heat embossing.
Generational stamping is perfect for this foliage stamp! And I really like it in gold. Thanks for reviving an old technique that I haven't use in quite some time!
Gorgeous card, love this foliage stamp for this technique!
Very pretty. I haven't done this technique in a while.
That's a beautiful card! Generation stamping is something I haven't given a try yet, your card inspires me to! :)
I love this look. I used to make my forests on cards with that technique.
I love the look of generational stamping also, but I think you are the queen of doing it well, Virginia!!!
