Hello friends! It's my turn to share projects over Altenew Card Blog!
I am fluttering by to share projects with the popular Dovetails Butterflies Stamp Set. This butterfly set will elevate your crafting project and provides tons of creative play. My two projects will perhaps give you some extra ideas and inspiration. Let's dive right to it.
The first card is nearly one layer and yet it has lots of layers and depth. You can have apply many techniques with a stamp set like this. I started out with stamping the main image.
I stamped the butterfly with Deep Blue Seas Mini Cube, Lagoon, Volcano Lake. To make the butterfly image pop, I clear-embossed the butterfly once I finished stamping.
The embossed butterfly can resist any further stamping. I proceeded to stamp the more butterflies in the background. The Blooming Tulips is perfect to pair up with the butterfly. This garden scene was so easy to create thanks to the intricate stamps. For the background, I added some glitter paste with Feeling Dotty Stencil.
The next card is a fun shaker card. With the Coordinating Die, this can be easily achieved with some planning ahead. I stamped the butterfly first onto a piece of card stock ( measures 5" x 3/4").
By following the guide, I stamped and clear-embossed the butterfly. Once done, I built a "wall" around the butterfly with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I added extra piece to double up the height as this allows the sequins to move around more freely.
For the card front, I die cut the butterfly and applied ink lightly with Stripe Builder Stencil. I then added a piece of acetate and placed it over the sequin-filled butterfly.
The sentiment from Slim Sentiment fit perfectly with the butterfly shaker card.
I love how versatile this stamp set as it allows you to keep stamping simple or it can also be as complex as you like!
I'd love to see how you use this gorgeous stamp.
I would love it if you can stop by Altenew Card Blog to leave me some love. Thank you so much for stopping by!
