If you love making simple shape card without too much fuss, this post is for you. If you happens to love butterflies, you then must check out today's post.
Basically, the die set does all the work for you. All you need to do it die cut and assemble to your heart's desire.
The butterfly shape comes with two large dies. I used the small one for the card front and the large one for the card base.
I die cut as many pieces of flowers and leaves with color pattern paper. The Gel Printing Soft Washes Paper Pad) was used here. That tiny banner sentiment was from last month's Spellbinders Card Kit.
For the butterflies, I used gold foil paper for the antennas. I thought that the gold color really gives the butterflies some extra bling effect!
The key to successful assembling is to give yourself options. The more die cut you have, the more possibilities that you can vision and create.
Way back when my daughter was still a little girl, we always handed out our handmade birthday invites. I remember we always attempted to make coolest kinds of invites. Now, I wish a die like this existed back then! Boy, would we have fun or what!?

I would known anywhere who made this extraordinarily beautiful butterfly. It's a Virginia original. Just gorgeous.

So pretty! Love all the detail on the butterfly. You would have had so much fun using dies like those for those party invitations. Shaped cards are so neat! It would be fun to see you make a butterfly card using vellum ( you do such neat things with it) metallic thread and pinks and greens.
