Scarlet Season Thin Die Three Ways (Part 2)

Hello friends!
I am popping in with my 2nd take with Scarlet Season Thin Die from Penny Black.

I decided to incorporate this cling stamp "Snowy Flight" with the Scarlet Season.
http://shrsl.com/1ux6s
This is what you get when you put the two together!
Merry Christmas -001

In order to show off the delicate and fine branches in the background, I covered the birdie with the poinsettia and added a piece of vellum (the solid die) over.

Merry Christmas

I purposely leave the small bits from the die on by using Washi Tape on the backside. This way, the small parts of the die will not fall off.
Merry Christmas

This card has a lot of white space and it is purposely done so. This allows the image to "breath" and we can see the colors and textures in much better light!
Merry Christmas -002

Beautiful combination of the two stamps Virginia. Love the idea of using the vellum layer on the top. Really gives the poinsettia some dimension. Also the use of the grey ink for the sentiment is inspiring.

So many great details here, Virgina - the silver sentiment, the pieces left in the poinsettia petals and the artsy branch in the background - just lovely!!

A very interesting card, the layers create a new take on poinsettia.

Really like your lovely Poinsettia card. Love the texture on the bracts ( red ) and the addition of the vellum layer. The branch in the background is a perfect addition to the Poinsettia. The silver strip adds a nice touch as well. One lovely card!

Talk about creative...way to stretch the stamp. Love those wispy branches and how that create the perfect niche for that gorgeously colored poinsettia. Delicate with the vellum but still bold and colorful. The washi is a great accent to bling it up for Christmas/

Such a delicate background and I love the idea of leaving the die-cut pieces in the flowers. It turns out gorgeous.
