Hello friends!
I am popping in with a scene card today.
Penny Black has amazing selections of scenic cling stamps.
"Snow Blanket" is one of the new release.
What I love about these stamps is that all the stamp design does all the work.
All you need to do is stamp in color and interpret the scene however simple or complex that you want. After living in Canada over 30 years now, I love the beauty of snow scene.
Somehow my card seemed to have a bit of vintage vibe.... perhaps it's the choice of colors?
Nevertheless, I love how it turned out.
Keeping the color scheme simple seems like a good idea.
With MISTI, I was able to add color with each small section. It truly is a game-changer.

On top of that, I often clear-emboss the images once I like the stamping. This is when you can add background colors. In this case, I used Cracked Pistachio.

For the "snow", I added white splatter with various medium. The messier, the better.
I die cut the frame and added just the white borders around it. This really frames the stamped images nicely.

What an awesome snow scene!! Fabulous work! <3
Think you were right to keep the coloring simple...creates such a gorgeous snowy scene.
Your scene is gorgeous!
Love the vintage vibe of your winter scene. The white die cut frame really is pretty with your card. My husband always tells me mats need to be white as to not take away from your picture. Your white frame is perfect. The splatter you added looks like snow falling.
Really, really great card!
Love this beautiful scene.
What a great card Virginia. Such a sweet scene
