Hello, friends!
I am excited to share a new and exciting new feature from Altenew....
introducing Paint-A-Flower.
We are celebrating this month's Paint-A-Flower Poppy with a blog hop!
http://shrsl.com/22miu
This new feature product is similar to the Build-a-Flower except it is at a lower price point.
Paint-A-Flower: Poppy is a monthly subscription plan for our Paint-A-Flower. When signed up, you are guaranteed a spot in our monthly Paint-A-Flower releases and will receive a set
each month - at a specially discounted price! ($15.99 →$12.99)

About Paint-A-Flower stamp sets: this monthly release celebrates the beauty of a
wide variety of flowers! Each stamp set features an outline image of a gorgeous floral arrangement, just waiting to be painted or colored with your favorite medium. There's no need for you to spend time layering and masking images, as we have designed these sets to allow you to stamp once then color! We can't wait to see what you create

If you arrive from my fabulous friend Kelly Griglione's blog, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.

Here is my take with Paint-A-Flower: Poppy
Altenew-Paint-A-Flower-Poppy-Virginia#2

As you may know, you can have many ways of painting the flowers. I took an interesting approach of painting the poppy. I stamped the image and cut out the flower. I then use the negative side of mask and placed it over the stamped poppy.

I then took my Air Brush Marker Tools and sprayed colors with Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers.  I think the "blotchy" specks of colors are very cool!

I colored the leaves with Watercolor Brush Markers and inked up the edges.

The sentiment was stamped in Antique Gold Pigment Ink (my favorite!).

Lovely card, I had poppies in my garden at one time. Poppies always remind me of WWI...my dad was a doughboy, my father-in-law too.
