Artsy Alcohol Ink Background

Hello friends!
It is time to share another inky creation of mine.
This time, I am sharing a card with an inky alcohol background.
hello -002

I poured liberally with alcohol blending solution, regular Alcohol Ink and Alcohol Pearl Ink.
After playing and experimenting for good 10 minutes, I ended up with a silver blue background.
hello

I then proceed to stamp the heart with Versafine and die cutting with the frame.
since the Yupo paper is non-porous, the paper didn't get cut and was left with the dry-bossed image.
 I actually love that.
hello -001

The silver hello sentiment is from this die set "Snuggles".
I love using Valentine-themed stamps and use them for all occasion cards.
I "embellished" the card with additional pink and red drops of alcohol inks and Liquid Pearl Drops (on the flowers).
hello
If you are intimidated by the alcohol ink, remember to try it out and enjoy the process.
Part of the "fun" is not knowing/predicting what kind of color paper that you would create! I encourage you to take charge and embark your own creative journey!

The silvery blue background is absolutely beautiful! I love how you used the Liquid Pearl drops-- they look like custom enamel flowers. Very elegant. I enjoy your alcohol ink projects as my alcohol inks live permantely in the closet. I have patience to try a layered stamp set until I get it looking pretty good, but have no patience with alcohol inks. I will enjoy yours!

The card is stunning! I should check out your blog more often. And I would have been able to get 5% off the items I have sitting in my cart, just waiting for a good deal.

I like this blue and silver combination. The additional red drops work well to tie in the flowers.
