DIY Embellishment/Ephemera

Hello friends!
I am on a roll with Valentine's-themed card lately.
But first, I have a confession to make.
I can not stand not inking up an image if I have the stamp set.
So, there, that is it. Here I go again.

The wreath image in this set is absolutely darling that I can't not bear not using it.
I set out to create my own embellishment/ephemera.
Happy V Day

What is Ephemera?
things that exist or are used or enjoyed for only a short time.
items of collectible memorabilia, typically written or printed ones, that were originally expected to have only short-term usefulness or popularity.

In paper-crafting, you can often buy packs of ephemera in craft stores. They are inexpensive and can used for your scrapbook page or journal.

Happy Valentine's Day
I stamped the wreath is Distress Oxide ink and then clear-embossed it. And of course, I am coloring the image with the Ranger Blending Tool these days.

Next I fussy cut the image and added a piece of vellum and popped up the image.
This piece of DIY embellishment now serves as the focal point.
I hope today's post prompt you to create your own embellishment/ephemera.

That's so funny that you must ink all the stamps in a set! So unlike my inking one stamp and many years later finally inking another from the set - LOL. Anyway, your ephemera looks amazing, Virginia! The fussy cutting on the wreath matches what a die could do - so perfect!! And I love your coloring too!

Your card has such a vintage feel to it. The delicate white frame and vellum look lovely against the Desert storm card stock. The script of the sentiment and the gold metallic thread add to the beauty of the card. You definitely don't need to purchase ephemera as you create your own so beautifully!

Never left a wreath I didn't like and this one is so sweet. Love your soft coloring and the vellum makes it pop against the kraft cardbase.
