Coloring with Distress Oxide

Hello friends!
I am sharing a simple colorful card!
I don't know about you, but with my short attention span, I just don't have the patience to do detailed coloring with markers. After all these years, I think I am finally realizing THAT!  Mind you, I sill want to perfect my coloring skills with brushes and markers.
Today's card though is just me..... simple coloring with inks!
Happy Valentine's Day -001

I have been enjoying using the  Detail Blending Tools  to do coloring with the Distress Oxide.

The bouquet images in this set are just the right size for coloring.
Happy Valentine's Day

I took advantage of the "Stitches of Love" Rectangle Dies and did some inlaid die-cutting. The blue color on the rectangle frame was done with Distress Oxide. I love the details and contrast of layered rectangle dies.

What a cute Valentine card! The soft colors make for lovely bouquet. The stacked
rectangular die cuts make a lovely frame. The blue outer frame really sets off the card nicely. The tiny hearts on the bouquet wrapping sure are a nice touch on the stamped image.

I'm not good with markers so I feel your pain. Think the way you manage to bring color to your designs without them is simply brilliant like this sweet, charming card. That blue frame certainly enhances the focal point.

I like how you show that a simple design can be elevated with a bit of open coloring and dies.
