Hello friends!
I am sharing a cute card today!
This stamp set and matching die from Penny Black surely is charming.
But first, let's talk about the title of this post.
What does "cohesive" mean?
adjective. characterized by or causing cohesion: a cohesive agent. cohering or tending to cohere; well-integrated; unified: a cohesive organization. Physics. of or relating to the molecular force within a body or substance acting to unite its parts.
With that understanding, you may see my points with today's card design.

I started out with coloring the bear with Zig Markers with very basic colors-beige, light brown and dark brown. Once I colored the image, I re-stamped the image in Versafine.
In order to make the image look even more interesting, I paired it up with the cling stamp called "Passionate Blooms". I stamped it with Distress Oxide Ink.
To make the design flow and look more cohesive, I did the inlaid die-cutting with the coordinating die on top of the stamped "Passionate Blooms".
This really makes the bear and floral background look like they belong together or shall we say....integrated. You can simply popped up the image over the floral heart, but I thought I would do something a little different. In this case, the background and bear are truly just all in on flat piece.
Coloring is not my strong suit. However, images like this do not intimidate me any more.
Thanks to the detailed image, you can get really good at coloring as the stamp itself speak volumes.
I hope that you enjoy today's post about creating a cohesive design with two very different stamps.

brilliant Virginia. The inlaid die cut is an inspiration. Looks so smooth and definitely cohesive.
I love how you described the way you got the integration between the bear and the background stamp. I will go try this out myself. Such a clever technique. Thank you for sharing.
OMG! I love this bear and the gorgeous background!!!
Lovely card! Do like how you achieved the "all in one"
look! In your words "cohesive"!
Super sweet card, and thanks for the explanation!!
Aww that's an adorable and super sweet card!! Love the bear with the heart balloon and matching heart floral design! And great choice of colors :)
Love the cohesive look you achieved with the bear and the lovely floral heart. Your coloring looks great! I am pulling out the Zig markers more and more these days.
Thanks for the focus on cohesion in card making, Virginia - I spend a lot of time trying to achieve that in my cards, I think it's critical for eye-appeal!!! Love how you inlaid the bear, I would most often "pop it up" but I like the look you achieved!!
I like how you combined these two stamps with the inlaid die cutting.
