Hello friends!
I have a simple card share today.
In case you are experiencing a little bit of creative slump, today's card may be helpful.
I started out with embossing the image from Paint-a-Flower Iris in Antique Gold.
The "secret weapon" in this card is the new Watercolor Paper!
This paper is so absorbent and white. It also doesn't warp at all.
I took out a piece of acetate and applied waterclor on it. I let it dry in between and inked up some more. With each layer, I was able to create more shades of colors and depth.
This is the so-called "ink-smooshing".

Today's card truly is a child's play. Hope you get to do some!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I really like the color mix. This is a technique I have yet to try.
Lovely ink smooshing :)
What a gorgeous card. The ink smooshing is a great background for the lovely gold embossing, the colors are wonderful together and were the perfect choice for the gold embossed Iris.
I have never done ink smooshing! I LOVE it!
So pretty with the mix of colors and the gold embossing.
Love ink smooshing - one of my favorite techniques!! Beautiful, rich colors!!!
