Easiest Way to Stamp Faux Watercolor Cards

Hello friends AND Happy 4th of July to my American friends/readers!
Altenew-SpringRoseDieSet-WatercolorFrameStampSet #7
I am excited to share a project with you over Altenew Card Blog.
This time, I have created 3 cards with Faux Watercolor cards. Do you love the look of watercoloring and yet,  you prefer the ease of using your beloved Altenew inks? I am here to show you the easiest way to stamp faux watercolors cards with your favorite Altenew inks and stamps!
(all products are linked at the end of this post)

Let's start with applying Grand Stream Washi Tape to Classic Crest White Card Stock (80Lb). Next, I took out Spring Rose Die Set over the card  stock and die cut. I used at least half piece of card stock and leave some edges in between each die. You now have 3 pieces of gorgeous dies with Washi Tape. The next step is the important part!  SAVE the negative part of the card stock after diecutting. This is the MASK for the stamping.

Before you start stamping, you need to decide where you'd position the die. Then, you use the negative part of the die as mask and cover the area. I used one of the stamps from Watercolor Frame Stamp Set and started stamping the area within the mask. The colors that I used for the first card are Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubillite and Sunray.

The key is to stamp as much as you can to fill up the floral images. Once you inked up nearly all the edges, you can then remove the mask and apply your die. Voila! I added more colors ( Limeade and Hazelnut ) into my stamping for the 2nd and 3rd card.

To add some textures, I dry-embossed the Spring Rose Die Set with my tan embossing mat (comes with most larger die cut machine).  The sentiment, paper and embellishments are from  Celebrate 6x6 Paper Pack and Celebrate Ephemera Set.

For that extra watercolor effect, I added splatter from Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray. This set of 3 cards didn't take me long to create.

You can also turn them into any celebratory type of cards.

It was really fun for me to create the faux watercolors cards. I hope that you are inspired to try this.
