We are celebrating this month's Craft-A-Flower Poppy with a blog hop!

For details about this blog hop, please visit Altenew Card Blog.
We are only a few days away from November 11th, know as Veterans Day (in US) and Remembrance Day (in Canada). Poppy flowers are the symbol for this special day. Here in Canada, we wear the symbolic poppy to commemorate the sacrifice of so many men and
women who have given their lives fighting for their country.
I had the pleasure of seeing the poppies in the field when I visited in Iceland on 2017. I was so blown away by its beauty. In order to emulate the true colors and re-create the fields of poppies, I die cut the poppies with foam and then used foam as my stamps.
If you have not tried using foam as stamp, you should give it a go! This 3D flower set is super easy to assemble. I used the brightest Watercolor Brush Markers to color the flowers and leaves.
I white-embossed the sentiment on Jet Black card stock. The Featured Sentiment comes in handy.
I highly recommend this die. The sentiment is from Hello Hydrangea (another great set!).
I am also loving the leaves in this set. They are so gorgeous and fun to play with! If you say: "Altenew has done it again!"... I'd agree, too! This is just another must-have, if you know what I mean. 😀

I love the idea of foam as a stamp! This is such a pretty card.
This is gorgeous! And the red
is definitely "poppy" red!
Thanks for the foam stamp tip. Always looking for added effects to the card layout. Your card is awesome as always a nice visit to see your talents. Thanks for Sharing.
Ah, foam! I thought it might be felt at first glance. Beautifully done.
Great idea to use foam! Your poppies are the perfect color!
Foam technique challenge accepted! What a great idea to have a field of poppies behind your die cuts. Love your design, thanks!
Lovely!!! The poppy has such significance to so many. I have always loved the poem "In Flanders Fields". I can still remember the first time I heard the poem and that was many decades ago.
The foam adds so much dimension to your poppies. I am pulling out the foam I have to try your idea. Love all your special touches. Emotional day for me today.....
I love these poppies...the colors you used are so vibrant and delicious. I'm off to shop.

Very pretty. Thanks for the tips on using foam as a stamp.
Beautiful card, the colors are great.
Beautiful poppies!! And I love that background too.
Stamping with the "foam stamps" was perfect for the bg of this lovely card!!!!!
o! That's how you did it!! I loved the texture look of your petals and couldn't figure out how you got it--- design paper? a watercolored piece cut into petals? a different stamping technique? NO! You made stamps from foam!! What a cool idea! I think I may have done something like it before I was really a stamper with foam pieces that had adhesive on back. . . .I think I also used tempera paint. . . .
thanks for sharing!
Very pretty! Colors look real. TFS
Love the glistening foam - Great poppy colors!

Luv your poppy design n colors.
Beautiful card. Love the background you created.
Your card is gorgeous. I love those red poppies. This Craft-A-Flower release is definitely on my wish list.
Your poppy card is so beautiful! And I like the background poppies (as if they are growing in a mass of beauties). Clever idea for a background. I too like the leaf shape- so like the real leaves.
Gorgeous poppies!!
So pretty! Love the texture of the thread and the beautiful bold colors!
I love the fact that even the stems are dimensional -- they are not lying flat on the card and that just takes this over the top for me!
