I have fun post to share with you today. You have seen many cards with Embossing Folders by now. However, do you ever wonder what to do with the extra piece that you get after the dry-embossing?
I am using the Blossoming Branches Embossing Folder as an example.
The size of Altenew's 3D Embossing Folder is rather large (6'x6'). I have noticed the increased size in all of the latest Embossing Folders. So, why not use every inch of the inked dry-embossed image?
While I created the "Love You" card, I trimmed off the extra piece and thought it was too good to go to waste. Therefore, an idea came to my head! Use that piece and turn it into a bookmark!
I added Wild Flora Washi Tape at the bottom of the bookmark. I then stamped and inked up the edges to make the entire bookmark look more cohesive. You can easily create gift tags or labels or even another card! It's so simple and yet perfect for us paper-crafters since the majority of us like to "save scraps". There is just MORE reason to love Embossing Folders. You can easily apply this idea to all of your oversized folders.
