Hello friends!
I have 2 blog posts today.... For Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, please click here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every month Altenew will be releasing one Build-A-Flower Set on the 15th of every month with the
newsletter. This first set called Build-A-Camellia Stamp and Die set won't be available for purchase
individually - it's only available as a set. You can purchase here.
This size and details of this Camilla Flower are amazing! I wish I can paint like this....but you and I know, it's all the stamps' doing. I simply stamped the solid image first in lighter shade of Rose color and added a few extra shades here and there. I then used the detailed stamp (the one in the middle) to add the sketched design with one shade darker in the Rose Ink Combo.
The fun part was stamping the outlines. I used the darkest shade and repeated stamping on it till the entire flower is fully colored. The same steps (from lightest to darkest) went on with the leaves as well. There is no right or wrong which shade you start with first, it really is just personal preference.
I did, however, used Spectrum Noir Sparkler to add a touch of soft rose pink to the flower petal. The Pink Champagne is a lovely contrast with the rest of the design.
Again, this set is now available here.
