Hello friends!
This is my 2nd post for the day, for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, please click here or scroll down.

I am popping in with a post as I am hosting the Altenew March Inspiration Challenge! It is my very first time doing this, so I am super excited! Each month, Altenew asks one of DT member to share a travel photo for the inspiration challenge.
My family and I were in Cartagena, Columbia as one of the stops during our Panama Cruise in 2013. We watched this amazing Columbia dance while visiting a naval museum. The dance costume are so colorful and vibrant. I was quite blown away with that particular performance...
This is the interpretation that I came up with.
The stamp set Farmers Market consists of many awesome solid images and they are perfect for my design.
I applied "Masking" and "Stamp-kissing" for this CAS design. We now don't see "Stamp-kissing" technique used as much. I always love the look of a solid stamp and a detailed stamp (stamps with an ornate background and patterns will work) used together. I stamped the text from Precious Moments
and proceeded to make it kiss the wet pepper stamp (sounds funny/weird, but that is how it's done!).
I also utilize the Cherry Wood Paper to simulate the straw hats from the dancers. The sentiment was stamped in Seas Shore Mini Ink Cube. For all the inks that I used, please see the Inlinkz list below (under Simon Says Stamp and Altenew Shop). Of course, I could not have stamped with so many shades of colors without the help of MISTI.
For more info about this project, please visit my post over Altenew.
There are GREAT prizes for this challenge. FOUR WINNERS will be selected. Each will receive a $30 gift certificate to spend at www.altenew.com. If you use #AltenewChallenge when you share your challenge entry on social media, you are entered to win a $15 gift certificate to our online store.
I truly hope that you will join the fun and get inky! Thanks for stopping by!
