Stone Wall Stencil--Part 1

Hello friends!
I hope you are having a great day so far.
I am popping in with a post about this newly-release stencil. I had sooo much fun with the new Altenew stencils and sprays and this was one of the projects that I came up with.

Please do not forget to comment on the Altenew March Stencil and Sprays Post and my post here. You just might be the lucky winner of a $30-$50 gift card to Altenew online store!

Stone Wall Stencil
(shop Altenew here,  shop Simon Says Stamp here)

When I first saw the stencil, I was immediately intrigued.
In my neighborhood, there are quite a few houses with stone walls. In fact, my next door neighbor is a grey one and the one next to it is a beige stone wall house. I love the large opening and irregularity of the stencil and quickly, I whipped up with two designs ( Part 2 will be in my next post).

This card  is more on the bright side with the white texture paste. The Striped Floral Stamp/Die Bundle were created with the new spray ink  on paper. I used nearly every color from the Altenew Sprays!

Altenew File (3)

For the textured background, I first applied the grey ink over stencil with masked borders (using Washi tape). I then decided to add Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste over without covering the stencil entirely.

have a beautiful day

The White Embossing Paste doesn't take long to dry (about 3-5 min). If you have not tried embossing paste, I'd suggest you to get the White Embossing Paste. It's so fun to play with and it doesn't add much bulk to your design at all. I almost felt that I was a stone mason when I put the paste on. LOL 😀

have a beautiful day
This card is definitely one of a kind and unique!!

I hope this post peaked your interest in using stencil, paste and dies. I will be back for Part 2 with Stone Wall Stencil. I will announce the winner of $30 Altenew Online Store blog hop on the 13th

By the way, you can purchase the Altenew supplies over Simon Says Stamp
here as well. Here are the latest from Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks for stopping by!

This is the first stencil I've seen that makes irregular stonework look so genuine. I love the cold stone with those warm, beautiful flowers...looks like a garden wall.

You used this stencil is such an interesting way...I think the texture you achieved is extraordinary. I love this card. The strength of the paste and the delicacy of the flower swag is simply excellent.

This stonewall stencil would look nice in my stencil collection. I can see it making lots of masculine cards and ones like you made here.
