25 Days of Christmas Tag

 Hello friends!
It gives me great pleasure to be part of Tracey McNeely's yearly event called "25 Tags of Christmas Tag"! You can see the Altenew DT participating in this event over Altenew Card Blog.

Here is my take with the tag.
I used the rectangle image from Geo Frame to create a tag.
The frame was embossed in Antique Gold Embossing Powder.

For the elements of this tag, I used Holiday Bow that was inked with Artist Markers Re-inkers
(set A). Once it's dried, I applied Alcohol Lift Ink.

The leaf elements were all inked with Altenew Watercolor Brush Makers

I didn't plan to color the background in blue. However, I had a mishap when I added splatter....
A HUGE blue spot landed right in the middle!I was kind of mad at myself when that happened!
I asked myself: "Like, how could you.. mess that up....!!!".😒

I didn't want to have a do-over, so I water-colored it in blue!😂

when you have lemons, make lemonade.
The blue made a pretty backdrop
for the flowers - great accident.

Frankly, I'm glad the blue splatter went awry. Love this color combo so much for Christmas and it made this tag particularly pretty and festive.

Your tag is stunning, Virginia! I love the blue background. It may have been a mishap, but I think it's gorgeous! The coloring on the Poinsettia is so pretty; the alcohol lift gives it such a unique effect.

The tag turned out really pretty, and as others have mentioned, sometimes a mistake turns out to be a good thing. This tag would take a pretty package to a wow package.
