Die Highlight-String Art

Hello friends!
WARNING: photo-heavy post

It is my turn to share projects with you on Stamp Focus over Altenew Card Blog.
This time, I am featuring "String Art Rectangles ".

I am super excited to share 3 projects with the versatile String Art Rectangles Die Set. You may think this die set is only for card-makers who can and love to sew and knit.  Well, not so!

I hope that with my projects, it will help you see the endless possibilities of this die set.  As long as you can draw a line or sew a button, this set is definitely calling your name!

Let's start with the one with the least strings.
In fact, there is no strings attached or sewing required.

I started out with applying inks with the cool Liquid Marble Stencil. The inks I used are the mixture of  Baby Pink, Coral Berry and Sunray. I die cut the two largest String Art Rectangle Die and this left me with the beautiful pierced holes.

With a small fine black pen, I traced the line between each tiny holes and connected the dots, so to speak. This is your so-called "Faux Stitching". Totally effortless and cool!

With Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers, I then inked up the same color palette on watercolor paper.  The Dotted Bloom Stamp & Die was stamped in Obsidian Black Pigment Ink and die cut.  To go with the flow of the design, I curved up the sentiment on the Acrylic block and stamped.

For the flower centers, I applied some adhesive glue and pressed foil over to add some shine.  I added a small pink Enamel Heart (Red Cosmos Enamel Dots) and gold strings for embellishment.

My next card has some fabulous textures and details, thanks to the String Art Rectangle Die Set. The Grateful Heart Stamp Set is so easy to line up, I couldn't help adding various colors with the floral focal point.

To change up the color scheme, I used two lighter shades from Gentleman's Grey to stamp the leaves and floral details.  I then ran the entire stamped design through the die cut machine with all 4 largest dies from String Art Rectangle Die Set.

I then added zigzag stitch pattern to highlight the sentiment. A little hand-stitching goes a long way, right?

As you can see, you can add strings and any types of stitching to add  refine details. To me, this is the reason why  String Art Rectangle Die Set is a winner!  I just love those tiny pierced holes in the background.
The last card "2020" has the most stitching. It took some time, but it was well worth it.

I used the 2020 Stamp Set as my focal point. To add some colors, I applied inks with Liquid Marble Stencil in the center  (Misty Morning).

With the two dies from String Arts Rectangles, I simply followed the lines and stitched and connected the corner.

The 2020 was then stamped in Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink. I also stamped "happy warm wishes" from "Hello Winter Stamp Set". I am loving this card so much that I am thinking of framing it. It is perfect to give as a gift, too!

I hope my 3 projects inspire you to create your very own string art! I thoroughly enjoy playing with this die and I certainly would not have trouble thinking up more designs.
