Altenew’s 4th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 4 + Giveaway

 Since Altenew is well-known for the layering stamps, it is only fitting for this occasion that I share one of the many many beautiful color-layering stamp sets.

If you think that you may not need the matching die set...I want to point out that the matching dies are awesome to use for MASKING.

It always saves me so much time and effort to cut out the image as masks!
I decided to do a little bit of watercoloring with Altenew ink. This Hope Stamp Set
has both solid and outlined stamps and are perfect for the "stamped watercoloring" look.

You can say that I "cheated". But, hey, why not, especially when the stamps can offer so much and makes you feel like a REAL artist?  I actually have not used much red color as of late, so this bright red card looks very "refreshing" to me! 

Once the watercoloring was finished, I let it dry an ran the Creative Edges: Lace Die with the Tan Embossing Mat through the die cut machine.

I stamped the sentiment in grey and darkest grey shade. Only a few small sequins are needed as the image speaks volumes!

Lastly, I wanted to share a little bit of "my story" with Altenew.
Here is my detailed post about it yesterday. 

Back in early 2014, I was on the Runway Inspired Challenge with Jennifer and Tasnim. They are two super talented card-makers that I admire. When Tasnim asked me to try out her layering stamp set that she first designed back then, I knew that she was onto something HUGE! Fast forward to 2018, I am blessed to be on the Altenew Card Design Team for over a year now and the fun never stops. Altenew has continued to amaze and challenge me to be a better card-maker. Thank you, Altenew!
