Paris in Spring

Hello friends!
I am popping in with a different sort of cards than my usual floral cards.
Sometimes it's just nice to let "stamps take us to places.....", you know what I mean? 😊

(all supplies I used are listed at the end of the post)
you brighten my day-001

This stamp may not be high on everyone's list, but you can interpret however you like it.
As I noticed that in this stamp, there are people holding the umbrellas.

you brighten my day (3)

I wanted to create a post-rain scene. In that sense, it may still look gloomy yet it is still full of promise. Well, you get the idea.
you brighten my day

I started out with stamping the main image in Black Soot and Vintage Photo (Distress Oxide). I then clear-embossed the image and added the background colors : one color at a time.
you brighten my day (2)

I still wanted the background a bit dark and so, I applied a tiny bit of Black Soot. This is a great way to practice your ink-blending.

This iconic image reminds me of that time when we posed in front of the Eiffel Tower with the kids in 2007!!  Here is a trip down the memory lane...
By the way, Penny Black's floral cling stamps are still available over Scrapbook.com.
I adore these cling stamps/dies and can play with them all day....

I can smell the freshness of the air after a good soaking rain. And what could be better than seeing the Eiffel Tower with all those lovely soft colors behind it...nothing.

Your Eiffel Tower/Paris card is stunning, Virginia! My brother and I visited France two years in a row (before we met our respective spouses) on Tour de France trips (back when Lance Armstrong was my 'hero'...yeah, not any more!). Both journeys were incredible, with highlights being the wrap-up to the races in Paris and our subsequent 'extra days spent' visiting the city. Being afraid of heights, I didn't climb the Tower, but my brother did...and has fabulous photos of his vantage point. Paris...such a beautiful city; France...such a lovely country!
