The JOY of Fussy-Cutting

Hello friends!
Have you done any fussy-cutting lately?
I have a fun and easy card with lots of fussy cutting.
Why fussy-cuttin, you ask? Well, it's a no-brainer to me.
When I am stuck with ideas or lack of mojo ( you know we all have one of those days....), it's time to just cut things away in front of my favorite TV shows.

from: Simon Says Stamp

All you need are some gorgeous Washi Tape, a pair of sharp scissors, a background stamp, a few embellishment elements and that's it!

All of the supplies are listed at the end of this post.
For you

The hardest part of this card is coming up with the right color for the background stamp.
Ding--->I tested out a few colors and finally set my sight on Peach Perfect.
The trick is to pick out a color from the piece that you use. I found that hint of Peach Perfect is just the ticket! Other colors might work are: Sage Green, Light Grey, Lilac...? Can you name other colros that I don't see? (please leave a comment below).

For you-001

Now how do you exactly cut a piece of Washi Tape? I think it is a good idea to use a light to medium card stock underneath the Washi for easy fussy-cutting.

Since the floral images are so detailed, it was easy to arrange them.
for you

You can definitely apply this idea with your pretty pattern paper
The sentiment "FOR YOU" is from "Watercolor Dots". This is another GREAT set if you love dotty background!  It also comes with fabulous sentiment! Love the font, too!

This turned out really pretty! Love that washi tape! I'd try a dark purple for the background. Sometimes I try against several colors before deciding what looks good!

I think a navy or dark gray would be lovely too! I absolutely love that washi tape and fussy cutting it created a beautiful design element!

Beautiful card! Good idea to fussy cut something when inspiration is elusive. I love the peach with this image, maybe a greyed lavender would look nice too.

I do believe you picked exactly the right background color for contrast to that gorgeous washi. Your fussy cutting is truly awesome and so is this card.

Gorgeous card, Virginia. How about a light purple background? Is the stamp from Concord & 9th? I think the Altenew stamp is excellent!!!

I took a closer stamp - you very patiently cut the flowers from the washi tape.
